Renowned worldwide as a contemporary Navajo jewelry artist and successful businessman, Lyndon Tsosie stands as an emblematic figure in his field. With an illustrious career spanning over three decades, Lyndon brings to the forefront a profound mastery of jewelry processes and methodologies, cementing his status as a seasoned professional in the industry. Since 1997, Lyndon has steered the ship as President of James and Tsosie, Inc., where his visionary leadership has been pivotal in driving business development and brand elevation and recognition. Beyond the realm of business, Lyndon’s contributions are equally commendable. As the proprietor of The House of Stamps, he not only offers authentic traditional Navajo stamps for sale but also orchestrates seasonal Navajo stamping workshops, extending his artistic gifts to eager students and private clients. His altruism extends to instructing stamping workshops for Senior Living communities, exemplifying his strong commitment to enriching lives through art. Lyndon’s dedication reaches academia as well, with his prior role as Adjunct Instructor at Diné College. His noteworthy achievements encompass founding the Art Program at Coyote Canyon Rehabilitation Center, Inc., benefiting mentally challenged adults within the Navajo Reservation. Furthermore, his tireless efforts in organizing an annual Food Drive, in collaboration with the Gallup Food Pantry, have raised substantial funds, including a remarkable $15,000 during the challenging times of the COVID pandemic. A gifted instructor, Lyndon possesses a rare ability to nurture art appreciation and ignite creativity in those he mentors. His exceptional interpersonal skills foster enduring relationships with peers, students, and the community. Through the open sharing of his vast knowledge and experiences, he remains steadfast in his commitment to empower students’ artistic achievements, both in academic settings and private classes. Lyndon’s mission extends to leveraging his teaching experience to effect profound change, empowering students to realize their artistic potential by nurturing their creativity, confidence, and perception. Guided by his resolute determination and an unwavering belief in the transformative power of focused effort, Lyndon epitomizes the pursuit of positive outcomes through dedication and persistence. A testament to his commitment to education, in 2015, Lyndon’s company bestowed $1000.00 scholarships upon ten deserving high school graduates, a gesture that underlines his dedication to shaping future generations. Valerie Joe
Board Secretary
Valerie Joe is a highly skilled and experienced professional with a proven track record of success in a variety of roles. In addition to her responsibilities, as the Board Secretary, Valerie Joe is the day-to-day manager of The House of Stamps, where she oversees sales, service, and support. Valerie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of New Mexico graduating in 2015. Valerie is a dedicated mother of two teenage sons, and her most important role is inspiring them to follow their dreams with courage. She is also a passionate advocate for the Navajo community, and her partnership with the Lyndon Foundation is an embodiment of her belief in the Navajo proverb T’áá hwó’ ají t’éego/It is up to you. This proverb instills the inner belief to trust your thoughts and your words into planning and onward into action. Valerie is a strong leader. She is meticulous, organized, and has excellent communication skills. She is a valuable asset to The House of Stamps and the Navajo community.
Noreen Joe
Board Treasurer
Meet Noreen, an esteemed member of our team since 2015. Noreen brings an extensive twelve-year tenure within the financial services sector, a testament to her adeptness in overseeing operational functions such as upholding security regulations, policies, and procedures. Her leadership acumen shines through effective communication, offering constructive feedback, nurturing staff commitment through coaching, and instilling motivation during routine huddles and monthly gatherings. Noreen's unwavering dedication and expertise have played a pivotal role in advancing our organizational mission, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of our students. With an intrinsic grasp of every facet of our foundation, she adeptly maneuvers through diverse roles and obligations, notably showcasing her exceptional devotion to assisting students. Beyond her contributions to The Lyndon Foundation, Noreen graciously extends her proficiency as a volunteer, engaging with initiatives such as the Shiprock Marathon, Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brother/Big Sister, and the Echo Food Bank, among others. Noreen also finds delight in honing her craft in jewelry making, channeling her creativity into the realm of silver work. Presently, she is pursuing a degree in Radiology at Central New Mexico College, further exemplifying her commitment to personal and professional growth as well as setting an example to our students.
